"The experience has pushed me to pay closer attention to the mood and message of the music I play, to push for better and not accept complacency, to imagine and relate it to personal experiences, and to make it my own. I thank SAI for giving me this wonderful opportunity to work with Rachael Barton Pine." Before walking back to the train station, I stopped in the gift shop and bought a print of Stieler's portrait. Also available for purchase were a variety of items related to Beethoven and his music, including erasers and pencils, scarves, mugs, and even busts, which happily reminded me of the little one of him I earned long ago.
