SIGMA A S P PIES, INC . 4 S SIGMA A past president, vice presidentmembership, and editor of Zeta Epsilon, Christine is an active marimba and percussion performer, educator, arranger, and clinician. She performs in a wide range of musical settings from concert and marching percussion to ethnic hand drumming and steel bands. As a marimba specialist, she performs frequently as a soloist and in chamber music settings. Christine has participated twice in the Nancy Zeltsman Marimba Festival where she studied and participated in masterclasses. In 2010, Christine won the Iowa Percussive Arts Society Collegiate Marimba Competitions, and, in 2011, she won second place in the Iowa Center for the Arts Solo Competition at The University of Iowa. She is in demand as a percussion clinician at area high schools and teaches a small private studio. In Summer 2010, she was the featured guest artist for the Palmer Arts Council Summer Percussion Camp in Palmer, AK. For the past four years she has served as a performer and clinician for the Iowa summer Music Camp's, Yamaha Sounds of Summer Percussion Camp. As a member of Iowa Percussion, Christine recently completed work on a new CD titled Cabinet of Curiosities: The Graphic Percussion Scores of Robert Moran for the Innova Recording Label. As an instructor, Christine has taught and arranged for the Jefferson Band of Blue in Cedar Rapids, as well as the award-winning Cedar Rapids Prairie Hawk Drumline and front ensemble. In 2005 and 2006, Christine was a member of the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps of Dubuque, IA, and, in 2008, she was a member of The University of Iowa Hawkeye Drumline. She has most recently appeared as a member of the University of Iowa PanAmerican Steel Band, the UI Symphony Orchestra, and the UI Center for New Music. Christine recently graduated from The University of Iowa summa cum laude where she received her Bachelors of Music in Percussion Performance with Honors in Music. She has recently begun working on a Master's Degree in Percussion Performance at The Boston Conservatory. She is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, Pi Kappa Lambda, and Phi Beta Kappa. She is a Sword of Honor recipient and previously served as Editor, VP-membership, and President of Zeta Epsilon. piano/percussion, second place Jessi ca Koebb e Fort Worth Alumnae CHapter , Kappa C, Region II A n initiate of Iota Lambda at the University of Missouri/Columbia, and current member of the Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter, Jessica received a Bachelor's of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Kansas, graduating with highest distinction and earned her Master of Music degree in piano performance from Texas Christian University. During her undergraduate and graduate work, she won the SAI National Undergraduate Performance Award, placed first in her divisions in the Kansas City Musical Clubs Competition, the Truman State University Piano Festival, and the Kansas Music Teachers Association Piano Competition, and placed in the Missouri Western State College Young Artist Piano Competition and the University of Central Arkansas Piano Competition. She was also selected to perform on the honors recitals for both the University of Kansas and Texas Christian University. She is an active collaborative pianist, performing with her duo piano partner, Lori 16 PAN PIPES FALL 2012sai-national.org Dunn, as guest artists for the Stephen Barr Memorial Concert Series, with various members of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in chamber concerts in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and with her colleagues at Texas Wesleyan University for faculty concerts. She has also appeared as a guest performer at music schools and universities throughout the Midwest. She served on the faculty of the Texas Christian University Music Preparatory Division from 2002-2010 and on the faculty of Texas Wesleyan University from 2006-2010 where she served as chapter advisor for Beta Kappa. She currently serves on the faculty of MidAmerica Nazarene University as adjunct instructor of music. Jessica is a member of Music Teachers National Association, Kansas Music Teachers Association, and Pi Kappa Lambda.
