WEBSITE: rjager.com SAMUEL JONES NEWS: Samuel Jones stepped down after his fourteenth year as Composer in Residence of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra in June 2011 and they presented a special concert of his chamber music in celebration of his 75th birthday on June 2011. He will continue as Director of the Seattle Symphony's Young Composers Workshop and serve as an adjudicator for the Bellevue Youth Symphony's Young Composers Competition in 2012. He was a faculty member of the Conductors Institute of South Carolina in June 2011. His next commission is for Petite Suite from A Christmas Memory for the Northwest Symphony, to be performed by that orchestra in April 2012.
