She attends the Music Institute of Chicago and studies with Almita Vamos, Roland Vamos and Marko Dreher. The judges were virtuoso violinist Ilya Kaler, TImothy Muffitt (Music Director of the Music School Festival Orchestra) and Don St. Pierre (Head Vocal Coach, Chautauqua Voice department). Laura has also won awards in the Lipizer International Violin Competition, Walgreens National Concerto Competition, Illinois MTNA String Competition, Society of American Musicians Competition, Union League and Civic Arts Foundation's Classical Music Competition, St. Paul Chamber Music Competition, and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition.
