distinguished members education conferences, she also is academic advisor for the campus mariachi group. She previously served at Michigan State University and the University of Florida as well as working as a music instructor in public schools in both states. In Pensacola, she founded and directed a Yamaha Music School. She has contributed to selections from the 2007 Symposium on Music Teacher Education, The School Choral Program: Philosophy, Planning, Organizing and Teaching, and two volumes of Teaching Music in the Urban Classroom. Other publications accepting her material include the domestic and international editions of the Journal for Music Teacher Education, College Music Society Newsletter, Southwestern Musician, and Michigan Music Educator. Her presentations at assemblies include the American Orff Schulwerke Association National Conference, Tenth Annual International Conference on Diversity in Organizations, College Music Society National Conference, College Music Society National Conference, Research in Music Education Conference, Texas Music Educators Association Conference, and National Music Teacher Education Conference. She is a professional member of the Federation of North Texas Universities, Texas Music Educators Association, International Society for Music Education, Music Educators National Conference, and the American Education Research Association. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities at the University of West Florida, her Master's Degree in Music Education from the University of Michigan, and her Doctorate in Music Education at Michigan State University. Dr. Fei-Lin Hsiao Dr. Fei-Lin Hsiao was initiated as a National Arts Associate by the Eta Omega Chapter in May. Fei-Lin Hsiao is the Director of Music Therapy at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music, teaching a majority of the music therapy courses and supervising fieldwork. In addition, she is the thesis advisor to a number of Master's candidates.  Dr. Hsiao is a board-certified music therapist with teacher credentials in both music education and special education.  Dr. Hsiao's work has been published in numerous peer-review journals including The Journal of Music Therapy, Special Education Quarterly, and The New Taipei Journal of Medicine. She has served as a music therapist in numerous institutions, including the New York Dr. Fei-Lin Hsiao Institute for Special Education, the Bronx Psychiatric Center, the Long Island College Hospital, Stanley S. Lamm Institute for Child Neurology and Developmental Medicine in Brooklyn, the Early Intervention Center at Taipei City Hospital, Sunshine Rehabilitation Center, and Taipei Municipal School for Special Education in Taiwan.  She also has clinical supervisory experiences in the Geriatric Psychiatry Unit of the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Legacy Gardens Special Memory Care, Pathways Adult Day Care Center, and PAL Program of Youth Homes in Iowa City, IA.  Dr. Hsiao has lectured at National Taipei University of Education, Taipei Municipal University of Education, and Shih Chien University. She also served as a research assistant for the Music Perception Team of the Iowa Cochlear Implant Research Center at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. She is a past-president of the Music Therapy Association of Taiwan and a recipient of the T. Anne Cleary International Dissertation Research Fellowship. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance from the Chinese Cultural University in Taipei, her Master's Degree in Music Therapy from New York University, and her Doctorate in Music Therapy from the University of Iowa. Greg Jasek Greg Jasek was initiated as a National Arts Associate by the Lake County Alumnae Chapter in May. Greg Jasek, conductor, arranger, clinician, and Music Director of Filmharmonic Concepts, earned his Bachelor's Degree from DePaul University and his Master's Degree in Music from VanderCook College of Music. He studied conducting with Michael Morgan, assistant conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and was accepted for two consecutive seasons at Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony. While at Tanglewood, Jasek studied with noted conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, Andre Previn, Leonard Slatkin, Seiji Ozawa, and Gustav Meir. In 1991, Jasek received the appointment of assistant conductor for the Northwest Indiana Youth Orchestra. In 1992, he became cover conductor for the International Arts Chamber Orchestra. He later attended the Solti Orchestra Project at Carnegie Hall, where Maestro Georg Solti asked him to assist with the Bartok Concerto for Orchestra during recording sessions for London-Decca (previously Decca Special Products). Afterwards, Jasek and Solti developed orchestration of another Bartok classic, The Rumanian Christmas Carols. Jasek made an impressive debut conducting the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and was asked to produce and conduct Music in Space, a unique multi-media concert featuring shuttle astronaut Mark Brown. Greg Jasek Jasek collaborated with Chicago-area musicians to form the theme-based professional chamber orchestra Nachtmusic. In 1998, Oasis Media Productions contacted him to orchestrate and conduct the recording sessions for the symphonic suite A Sonic Portrait. This endeavor led to collaborations with talented individuals and the multi-media concert experience known as Filmharmonic was born. In 1999, "Filmharmonic Concepts Incorporated" was established and continues to be involved in numerous concert productions of every size.
