Groups of members taught music to students ages 3-5 years of age once a month during the fall and spring semesters. e music that was taught helped the students improve their socialization skills, gross and fine motor skills and listening skills. Proceeds from the dinner were donated to SAI Philanthropies Inc. People-to-People project. c a t e G O r y i i i ( 3 6 + M e M b e r s ) e t a O M e G a U n i v e r s i t y o f t h e p a C i f i C , d e l t a B , r e g i o n i e Eta Omega chapter organized caroling in a local neighborhood to collect cans for the Stockton Emergency Food Bank. e event involved rehearsals of carols led by the chapter music director and flyer distribution led by the Community Service Chair. At each house, sisters would explain SAI and the reason for collecting the cans. Aer which, sisters would sing one carol. Eta Omega collected 221 lbs of canned food items for donation. i O t a l a M b D a U n i v e r s i t y o f M i s s o U r i - C o l U M B i a , p i B , r e g i o n i i i e Iota Lambda chapter worked with a local organization called Granny's House. e chapter helped Granny's House start a choir for girls ages 8-11 who attended the program. Choir practice was held once a week throughout the semester and a concert was held in May. Before the concert SAI had a pizza party with the children and hosted a reception aerward. N a t i o N a l C o l l e g i a t e s e r v i C e p r o j e C t a w a r d The Collegiate Service Project Award is designed to acknowledge the wonderful volunteer projects that collegiate chapters do in the name of music. Patterned after the alumnae service project awards, a national winning chapter will be chosen from three chapter-size categories. Each national winner receives a certificate and a $100 prize.
