2014 FRATERNITY AWARDS sAI-NATIONAL.ORg FALL 2014 PAN PIPES 21 N a t i o N a l a l u m N a e C h a p t e r a C h i e v e m e N t a w a r d w i N N e r N a t i o N a l a l u m N a e C h a p t e r a C h i e v e m e N t a w a r d s e a t t l e , W a n U , r e g i o n i T his year's winner of the National Alumnae Chapter Achievement Award is the Seattle (WA) Alumnae Chapter. eir province officer had this to say about the chapter: Seattle Alumnae have worked especially hard this year. e chapter is relatively small, but they are quite active in their community, supporting several philanthropic musical projects, including a young artist scholarship program. e chapter hosted Province Day in October and put together a terrific program that had many of us talking for quite some time aerward. e key program was a presentation and opportunity to observe a class being conducted using the "Music Together" early music education program, developed at Princeton. e chapter had all reports in on time, even with some technical difficulties. e chapter keeps members and other chapters in the province informed through regular newsletters, and make efforts to accommodate those members who do not have access to technolog y, such as email, or who do not use it. e women of Seattle Alumnae are supportive of their sisters well beyond just a monthly gathering, and are a joy to interact with. The Alumnae Chapter Achievement Award is given annually to chapters whose officers and members have achieved distinction in fulfilling the following criteria: 1) The National Objectives 2) Completion of the chapter's local obligations: financial good standing, support of college chapter(s) when located in the vicinity, good relationships with local patroness members, development and/or implementation of community music projects, participation in Province Day activities. 3) Completion of the chapter's national obligations: financial good standing, good relationships with province and national officers by submitting all required and especially requested reports on time, and support of national projects through participation and financial contributions.
