An initiate of Iota Epsilon, Belinda received her Bachelor's of Music Education at Indiana University and her Master's of Arts in Secondary Education from Indiana University Northwest. She was an active music educator in multiple disciplines for North Montgomery County Schools, the Lake Ridge Corporation School, Griffith Public Schools, and at Indiana University Northwest. She is fluent in French and has taught modern languages, in addition to music. Belinda is now a retired music teacher, but she hasn't retired from musical life. She remains active in her community by volunteering with the Northwest Indiana Symphony Society, teaching modern languages as an adjunct professor at Indiana University Northwest, and working as a general music outreach instructor for a local private school. She is a leader in Sigma Alpha Iota and in many other organizations. In SAI, she is currently serving as her chapter's president, a position she has held at various times in the past 30 years. She has also served as chapter Vice President Membership, Treasurer, and Editor. Belinda has been instrumental in recruiting and initiating her chapter's distinguished members and patronesses. She is passionate about marketing the fraternity and its causes. She has served the fraternity as a Province Officer for nine years and is a knowledgeable resource for fraternity education, ritual, and law. As a music teacher she has taught band, chorus, and humanities while inspiring children through music and extracurricular experiences. Her Province Officer writes that "she has helped her local chapter to get its energy and good feelings back. And she has long been of service to SAI." Regional Alumnae Leadership Award Diamond Sword of Honor Elizabeth L. Huss Raleigh/Durham Alumnae, Tau D, Region VI Elizabeth Huss of the Raleigh/Durham Alumnae chapter is a recipient of the 2015 National Outstanding Alumnae Treasurer Award. Elizabeth was diligent in her recording of chapter finances. She distributed written reports at each of the chapter's meetings. She was the chair of both the fundraising and budget committees within the chapter. During the 2014-2015 year, Elizabeth led the chapter in an overhaul of their annual budget. Elizabeth has served the chapter in treasurer capacities on several occasions, and is a dependable leader within the chapter. Elizabeth's nomination highlighted that she "is an outstanding representation of what an SAI sister should be. She encourages growth among the chapter and in each individual member." Lauren Zeck Trew Seattle Alumnae, Nu, Region I Lauren Alaine Zeck Trew of the Seattle Alumnae chapter is a recipient of the 2015 National Outstanding Alumnae Treasurer Award. Lauren has served as chapter treasurer for three years. She ensured that treasurer reports were included in each chapter newsletter, so that those not in attendance at meetings were updated on the chapter's finances. During her term, the Seattle Alumnae chapter has hosted Province Day, and Lauren served as a co-chairman of the event. She also oversaw the chapter's summer music camp scholarship fund and oen volunteered for chapter community outreach projects. Lauren also worked to ensure that the chapter saved money for Convention during the triennium. Under Lauren's leadership, the chapter set aside $400 each year to assist with the chapter delegate's costs to attend National Convention.
