Her participation in chapter activities ranged from interacting with potential new members at recruitment events to performing in chapter concerts throughout the year. Her exceptional abilities as an advisor were particularly noted in her ability to support the chapter's leadership both in and outside of chapter activities. When chapter officers found themselves struggling with insecurities, she would lend a listening ear and gently inquire without prying. She would then lighten the mood with her quirky and delightful sense of humor, followed by supportive insight that every insecure student needs to hear." Dr. Clark was educated at the University of California at Riverside (BA in Music, MA in Historical Performance Practice) and the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign (Ph.D. in Musicology). As a musicologist, Dr. Clark specializes in British music of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and her articles and reviews have appeared in Ralph Vaughan Williams Essays, Fontis Artis Musicae, and MLA Notes. As an accompanist, Dr. Clark has appeared throughout the United States, Mexico, and the UK. In 1996, she was awarded the Ralph Vaughan Williams Fellowship, and in 1998 she was awarded the Rotary International Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship.
