One-time contribution of $_____________ or On-going monthly contribution of $_____________ ehearsals/recitals/performances in the living room, stuffing chapter newsletters at the kitchen table, comparing notes on chapter activities, holding the same offices in different locales, and being roommates at National Conventions--what better way to share SAI memories from grandmother to daughter to granddaughter? We all came to SAI by different paths, but in the end, we shared the same wonderful sisterhood. Grandmother (Betty Hicks) was 'recruited' to be a patroness by Alpha Xi Chapter (Chicago Musical College) and spent most of her active SAI years with the LaGrange, IL Alumnae Chapter. Her daughter, Karen (Hicks Smith), was delighted to join Xi Chapter at Lawrence University and later affiliated with the alumnae chapter in Pittsburgh, PA. Granddaughter Ashley (Smith Wohlwend) was initiated by Iota Pi chapter (Albion College), and subsequently joined the Tucson and the Cleveland Alumnae Chapters. For the past several years, both Karen and Ashley have served as Province Officers and have held joint officer training sessions as well as encouraged cross-province attendance at Province Days. But, best of all, they've been 'roomies' at National Conventions in both Chicago and St. Louis. What could be more memorable than that! — Ashley Wohlwend and Karen Smith R From left, Sigma C Province Officer Ashley Wohlwend and her mother, Karen Smith, Chi B Province Officer.
