ucy received her BM in Instrumental Performance and BA in Anthropology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign,
a MM in Performance and Literature from Eastman School of Music, and a MM/Soloist Diploma from the Sibelius Academy
in Helsinki, Finland. She currently splits her time between Oulu and Helsinki, where she has just begun a trial as co-principal
clarinet and Eb clarinet in the Oulu Symphony Orchestra, while continuing doctoral studies at the Sibelius Academy. Her artistic
research for her doctoral program focuses on contemporary clarinet repertoire from Finland and the US. She has recently performed as
principal clarinet with the Oulu Symphony in "Kullervo" at the Luosto Classic in Luosto, Finland, at the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo,
Japan, and as Principal Clarinet for the Helsinki Comic Opera Gala Concert under the baton of Leif Segerstam. Lucy 's principal teachers
include Olli Leppäniemi, Yehuda Gilad, Ken Grant, David Harris, and Gary Karner.
