LONG BEACH
Delta A, Region I
The Long Beach Alumnae Chapter organized and performed two benefit concerts to provide scholarships for the
Arrowbear Summer Music Camp, located in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California. On February 3rd and
4th, four chapter members and National Arts Associate Ishani Bhoola gave performances in two locations that generously
donated their spaces. Other members did the program, put together two receptions, and handled the publicity. The
chapter raised $2,675, which provided the funds to send four students to the Arrowbear Summer Music Camp.
WICHITA
Theta B, Region II
The Wichita Alumnae Chapter built a "Virtual
Classroom" for local elementary music teachers to
incorporate into their curriculum, highlighting beginning
band instruments. Each instrument was demonstrated
by a chapter member or local musician. Students were
able to see the instruments being played and to hear a
familiar or exciting tune. Teachers were able to incorporate
this project into their learning management systems for
students to explore on their own.
